July. 14th, 2017 – OC Register – “Jeffrey Open Space Trail extension beefs up Irvine bicycle network”
A biker rides the Jeffrey Open Space Trail in Irvine, CA on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. The city is planning to extend the popular trail by constructing a lighted, off-street bicycle-pedestrian trail along the east side of Jeffrey Road, between Barranca Parkway and Walnut Ave. and would include a rest area at the northeast corner of Jeffrey Road and Barranca Parkway. (Photo by Kevin Sullivan, Orange County Register/SCNG) IRVINE — In a few years, cyclists will be able to ride the entire stretch along Jeffrey Road without sharing the path with fast-driving cars.
The city plans to extend the Jeffrey Open Space Trail from Walnut Avenue near Interstate 5 down to Barranca Parkway, as well as build a bridge across the freeway. That will close a 1.2-mile gap and complete the seamless pedestrian and bicycle path from Portola Parkway to Interstate 405. Read More Here
- Oct. 17th, 2016 – Orange Coast Magazine – “O.C. Chefs Gather to Support One of Their Own”
The Orange County food community is used to coming together to serve and celebrate. But sometimes, its members gather to pool talents for more somber reasons. In September, popular O.C. chef Greg Moro was very seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. He remains hospitalized, and his family and friends are rallying support for recovery. A GoFundMeaccount has been created, and a Facebook page updates his progress. Read More Here

Lovely Quickie Lunch at Manassero Farms today. Thank you Chef Pascal Olhats and Anne Fanous Manassero for such a wonderful and delicious day! The weather could not have been better for us to enjoy this very special menu. We started off with introductions, and then Pascal described his amazing Broccoli Soup. One might think there was cream in the soup, but no the potatoes added to the richness. Read More Here

Fabulous Quickie Lunch With Pascal & Manassero Farms!
On the menu today was a delicious combination of Soup, a Steak Baguette Sandwich with Coleslaw, and a mouth-watering strawberry biscuit shortcake for dessert.
Spinach Soup As Pascal described it, which was hard to believe, this creamy Spinach Soup did not contain any cream. The richness was rendered with the diced potatoes and onions—all pureed. Add some finely cubed bacon and yes, we were in heaven. Read More Here…

- May 14th 2015 – Orange Coast Magazine – “Where Do You Stand On Strawberries?”
You could buy strawberries at a regular market. Right now, near peak of season, there are nice, even local, berries to be found. And of course, Orange County farmers markets offer strawberries that are not only local but often redder and riper than what’s picked for shipping—though even there you’ll find a range of almost-good to excellent. (Taste, then buy.)

last month, i was invited by Manassero Farms to attend one of their Breakfast in the Barn events that they host monthly. i have been to a few of their produce stands around Orange County, but i had not known that they hold special events like Breakfast in the Barn, Farm to Fork Cooking Classes, Dinners with the Farmer and his Wife, and more. i was very excited to attend because i love this kind of stuff; learning new cooking techniques, fresh farm produce and enjoying the community around me is my passion.

February 2015 – A Communal Table – “Manassero Farms Inspired – CREAMY LEMON HERB SHRIMP ON ZUCCHINI NOODLES”
I’ve lived in Orange County for over 25 years, and yet I am still finding new “gems” in my own backyard. New (to me at least) shops, restaurants and of course, markets. For years, acres of orange trees and farms dominated the landscape of Orange County and market stands were plentiful. Sadly, many of those groves and fields have been replaced by housing tracts – but a few small farms do remain, including Manassero Farms, a small, family owned organic farm with several locations in Orange County, Ca. Recently, I attended a cooking class at their Irvine market location, taught by Anne Manassero, a certified Yoga instructor as well as a gifted and talented cook. Anne teaches several classes a month focusing on creative and nutritious dishes using Manaserro Farms beautiful produce. The classes are held in their darling, open air market located on their farm in Irvine, Ca.
